In fact, I live. It has been a saga like none other to obtain Internet access, and this opportunity only lasts until 8:30pm, which is in about 40 minutes, so I will update all as best I can. :) I made it to through travel with almost no trouble, which was quite nice. Uncle Ken and I managed to find each other in O'Hare and we had lunch, and then I boarded for Brussels! I ended up sitting next to a charming young Belgian man who was very zippy and told me about his home country and I felt mostly competent as an international traveller, and connected with about 6 members of my group in Brussels.
I just lost a ton of my work, as we have black outs all the time, and the Internet cuts out and unsaved work is cut out along with, and must leave soon, so hopefully tomorrow I will have time to elaborate more. I am planning to hike, and maybe go to church if it can be arranged, and meet an elephant, do some shopping etc... we will see....
We are very glad to hear from you, Carrie! Happy you made it ok and with little travel difficulties. Now onto your India Adventure! We will be eagerly anticipating your updates and I imagine it is all very exciting and challenging at the same time. I was assuming that it was going to take some time for you to "get your feet on the ground" and be able to start living life there. Hope the day is great that you have planned!
