Vellore in Continuation...

Brussels was very pretty, and from the airport windows we could see the flat grassy fields, and the sheep in the pastures. There was a lot of French, German and Flemish speaking there, and it was cool to hear some French and even understand what some of it meant. I have now been to Europe. Our flight to India was on Jet Airway, which was maybe the nicest flight I have ever been on. Each seat had a movie entertainment system in the back to select movies for free, and they provided an Indian lunch and dinner with our flight, and towels to wash off our face and warm towels to wash off our face, and they sprayed some kind of mist through the cabin that I loved. My seat mate was an elderly Indian man and he was nice, but spoke little English and I was very poor at Tamil, and his voice ws soft and he had a severe cold, so our conversation was bfrief and far between. We landed around midnight local time, and got to the Trident hotel around 1am, and did not fall asleep until probably 1:30am. It was also the nicest hotel I have ever been to. It was so nice with all of our luggage being taken by the people and full of fountains with Lilly pads. I think they were rather amused by our lack of knowledge of their way of doing things, and they had to keep reminding us. I woke up the next morning around 6am because I didn't want to be late, as no one had told us what time to wake up, and we got ready, and eventually there was a delicious spread of Indian fare for breakfast. A server pulled out my chair for me and helped me scoot in. We left for Vellore in 3 private buses more like large vans.
Again I lost my work... I will have to try to re-type the rest of my thoughts later. :(

  1. Dad says that you should make a lot of short entries on this blog, then you may not lose so much work. Sounds like your treatment on the airline was similar to Emirates Airlines that dad experienced too. Business and First Class send around the hot towels, etc, so you did fine in economy! How many hours was the flight from Brussels to Chennai? What kind of airplane was it? Did they spray the mist out of cans while the flight attendent sprayed them on both sides of the aisle while walking down it? Dad had that on Emirates Airlines too.
